Owner/Founder History

An entrepreneurial leader with a track record of success, Steve Booher is the owner and president of Productive Resources, a company headquartered in Columbus, Ind. As a custom engineering services company, Productive Resources is a key resource for design, engineering, CAD drafting, technical publications and fabrication needs. The company prides itself on offering productive, cost-effective solutions and meeting quality, price and delivery requirements.

Mr. Booher earned an associate’s degree in design at Vincennes University and a bachelor’s of science degree in business at Indiana Wesleyan. He has launched and sold several ventures in his 25-year career, including CAD Design, NetPage USA and Auburn Clutch. He has been achieved the prestigious Growth 100 award from the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, part of Indiana University’s School of Business, an unprecedented 11 times for four different companies.

Mr. Booher was selected as Ernst & Young’s Northern Indiana Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000, and in 2007, 2008 and 2009, Productive Resources was recognized by Inc. 5000 as one of the “Fastest Growing Companies in America.”

Productive Resources serves local, regional, national and international companies, including Cummins Inc., Rolls-Royce, Lockheed Martin, BAE and JLG Industries, Inc. Besides the Columbus, Ind. headquarters, Productive Resources also operates a Technical Center in Columbus and offices in Indianapolis, Ind. and St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. Booher serves on the board of directors of AEM (Association of Equipment Manufactures), is Chairman of its Associate Member’s Group, serves on its Ag Executive Council, Global Public Policy Council, and its Construction Equipment Council. Mr. Booher is a also Chairman of the Board of non-profit Camp Lakeview, one of the largest Christian Children’s Camps in Indiana; and serves on the board of CIM Audio Visual, a leading national integrator in commercial and educational audio and visual systems.

Mr. Booher lives outside of Columbus, Indiana with his family.
